Meet the Speakers
Dibyajyoti Pattanaik
Director
Mr. Pattanaik has over 15 years of experience in microfinance, micro-enterprise development and development sector consulting. He has worked with Public and Development Sector institutions in various roles before joining Peoples’ Forum as Program Head & CFO in 2007. His experience and expertise played a crucial role in the transformation of mission Annapurna to Annapurna Finance Private Limited, which under his guidance and leadership is now one of the top MFIs in India. He was the Vice President of MFIN (Microfinance Institutions Network), where he contributed to the overall issues pertaining to the financial inclusion sector. He also serves as the President of OSAFII (Orissa Association of Financial Inclusion), and is actively involved in the financial inclusion forum of the state. He holds a post-graduate degree in management from EDII, Ahmedabad, and a management certificate in finance from Boulder Institute of Management, USA.
Paul Hailey
Head of Impact & ESG, responsAbility
Responsible for managing and measuring the impact of responsAbility's activities. Fourteen years in impact investing and nineteen years in finance. Lead author of responsAbility Impact Report and various other responsAbility publications. Studied at Pembroke College, University of Cambridge and obtained his MBA from HEC Paris. Guest lecturer in impact investing and sustainability at HEC Paris.
Robert Widén
Director Nordics, responsAbility
Business development and relationship management in the Nordic region. Prior to responsAbility Robert was at the Nordic Investment Bank, Arctic. He held various sales & business development related roles, including Equity & Fixed Income Sales and was part of building up the capital raising arm in alternative investments. Formerly Robert also spent 2 years within Wealth Management at Pensum Asset Management. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in International Business from Warwick Business School, including an exchange year at Mannheim Business School. Fluent in English, Swedish, and German.
Elina Scheja
Chief Economist at Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida)
Elina Scheja is the Chief Economist of Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). She leads Sida’s analytical efforts at country level with a goal to improve living conditions for people living in poverty and under oppression. Her current areas of focus are multidimensional poverty analysis, financing for development, and green transition. Ms Scheja serves also as the co-chair of OECD DAC Community of Practice on Poverty and Inequalities. Prior to joining Sida in her new role, Ms Scheja was working as Senior Specialist in Employment and Poverty Diagnostics at the International Labour Organisation (ILO) with a focus on the economic and employment impacts of climate change and Just Transition. Ms Scheja has previous experience working for the World Bank at Development Economics Vice Presidency (DEC) and at Operations Policy and Country Services (OPCS).
